It's been a while since I've been out here to the boards (I promise to be more reliable!) Anyway, I was wondering, since the Bootcamp, how many of us
have written new stories, and where do we stand on submissions? Is everyone writing and submitting as Tom et al told us to do... or have we all drifted into
artistic potato peeling (a sport that is sweeping Eastern Idaho?) Just wanting to catch up.

Just finished another part for Open. Waiting on the first of the series to be redrawn. Starting in on a novel and waiting to hear on some short stories.

I've written a few stories, but haven't subbed out as many as I should have, and nowhere near as many as I intended to. Had a 500 word flash accepted
for the Bits of the Dead anthology. That's the only success I've registered to date, but then I've only subbed out toasterboy a couple of times,
plus a WW1 horror story, an entry to the Dark Recesses Deja Vous zombie comp, and that's about it.
Dunno what's up with me - can't seem to get my arse in gear. How are you doing, Richard?

I just had a 46 page manuscript, "To Bite The Worm," accepted for publication. Very excited about that since most places would not take a piece that
long. The editor said it was "damn good!" Whoo-hoo!
I've also polished up a story called "Mister Many Faces" that I'll be sending off tomorrow, as well as a prose poem entitled "He." Still waiting on one publisher to print "The Gri-gris" in his anthology, and still waiting to hear back on "The Fine Line Between." Both stories include very "out-there" concepts, so I do hope they will both see print. And still working on novels. |
